Cross Country Boots - FAQ's

What are cross-country boots?

Cross-country boots are designed for cross-country riding. They help absorb shock while jumping and protect the tendons from overreaching. Cross-country boots are essential, as they provide a higher level of protection than traditional boots. They also need to protect the legs when trailing over fences.

What types of cross-country boots does LeMieux offer?

Two types of cross-country boots are within the range, including the Shock Air XC and Carbon Air XC boots. Both styles are available for the front and hind legs, providing all-around protection.

What are LeMieux cross-country boots made of?

LeMieux cross-country boots are crafted from vented EVA mould technology and flexible polycarbonate. These innovative materials represent cutting-edge cross-country design, combining protection with lightweight comfort.

What size of cross-country boots will suit your horse?

To find the right size of cross-country boots for your horse, check out the size guide on the product description page before you checkout.

How should you look after LeMieux cross-country boots?

In the washing machine, you can wash your cross-country boots at a low temperature (preferably 30 degrees). We’d recommend placing your boots in a wash bag to protect them. You should also close all fastenings and clip straps to prevent damage. Once washed, dry your boots naturally. Never use a tumble dryer.

How often should you replace LeMieux cross-country boots?

LeMieux cross-country boots are designed to be put through their paces. How long they last depends on how often you use them and how your horse rides. As long as you follow the care instructions, you should get a few years of use out of them. Replace them once you notice signs of advanced wear and tear.
