As we work towards our evolving ESG goals, we’ve accelerated our strategic initiatives with some share-worthy results.
Sourcing and supply
LeMieux cares for animals, people and the planet and is serious about responsible business practices.
Traceable and sustainable horsehair, goat hair and sheep’s wool sourcing. Our horse and goat hair are sourced from domesticated sources and the sheep wool we procure is supplied from mulesing free sources.
Sustainable timber sourcing
None of our products contain natural resources, flora or fauna on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species
We’ve planted over 3000 trees with partner Ecologi
SEDEX/SMETA audit our supply chain to ensure high standards in environmental protection, compliance and human rights
Our HQ
We feel responsible for the environmental impact of our business and commit to continuous improvement.

Sensor-activated low energy LED lighting to prevent energy wastage
Our loos are fitted with delay refill valves, water saving cisterns, dual flush options and, along with additional practices, we have saved over 90,000 litres of water in 2024 vs 2023

0% waste sent to landfill
We are developing carbon reduction strategies and plastic reduction pathways throughout our business
All saddle pad plastic packaging is recycled and recyclable from 2025
We’re getting new ideas about how to improve by doing materiality studies with our stakeholders and listening to their concerns
Our marketing materials are printed on FSC/PFC approved, carbon-balanced paper via the World Land Trust. In 2024, using Carbon Balanced Paper, we have saved over 3600kgs of CO2e (700M2 of Tropical Rainforest)
Our office paper is FSC/PFC approved
We’ve replaced plastic tape with paper-based gummed tape
Our international shipping bags contain minimum 30% recycled plastic and are recyclable
Where viable, we use only paper bags for UK orders, with Protega recyclable paper packing fillers (not plastic!)

Our staff have donated 492 volunteering hours with our charity partner World Horse Welfare
We’ve donated over £45,000 to World Horse Welfare via customer donations
We’ve donated over £100,000 to World Horse Welfare since 2022
We donate generously to local and national equestrian and children’s charities
