What are LeMieux Jumping Saddle Pads made of?

LeMieux jumping saddle pads are available in a range of high-quality fabrics. We have pads made from cotton, suede and memory foam for enhanced comfort and shock absorbance. We also have pads made from X-grip silicone to stop any risk of pad movement.

We’ve updated many of our show jumping saddle pads with a luxury bamboo lining. It wicks away sweat and moisture and controls body temperature to keep your horse cool.

Who are LeMieux Jumping Saddle Pads for?

LeMieux jumping saddle pads are designed to fit more forward-cut jumping saddles. They’re shorter than dressage saddle pads, and also have a high wither design for freedom of movement and a swept away lower cut to prevent riders from catching the pad with their legs.

What is the thickness of LeMieux Jumping Saddle Pads?

The thickness of our pads vary from model to model and are appropriate for the activity and purpose they are designed for to maintain breathability and protection for your horse's back.

When is your Jumping Saddle Pad fitted correctly?

Jumping saddle pads should always fit well. Jumping can cause the pad to shift, so it mustn’t slide around and rub against your horse’s skin.

You must check it’s large enough to cover the entire saddle area and ensure the spine of the pad is lifted up into the gullet of the saddle to allow freedom over the horse's spine. This will help keep your horse comfortable when jumping.

How should you look after LeMieux Jumping Saddle Pads?

LeMieux jumping saddle pads are easy to care for, as you can place them in the washing machine on a standard 30-degree cycle. Before washing, check your machine’s large enough and close all fastenings to prevent accidental damage. You should also remove dirt, debris and sweat using a stiff brush. Once machine-washed, re-shape the pad while still damp and dry it naturally away from a heat source. We always recommend checking the wash care instructions of your jumping pad before cleaning.

How long can you use LeMieux Jumping Saddle Pad?

With the right care, you can use our show jumping saddle pads for years before they need replacing. Our pads are hard to wear in areas with high friction, but show jumping in particular results in wear and tear. You’ll eventually need to replace your saddle pad. When, depends on how long and often you ride.
