Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of lemieux.com and to any order you place with us. Please read them before you order.
The version of these terms that applies to your order is the version published on this website at the time you placed it. If we change these terms, the change will not affect any order we have already accepted. We keep previous versions and will provide a copy on request.

Part A — About us and these terms
1. Who we are and how to contact us
We are LeMieux Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 04656887. Our registered office and trading address is Woodington Road, East Wellow, Romsey, Hampshire, England, SO51 6DQ. Our VAT registration number is GB807382721.
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean LeMieux Limited, and “you” means the person placing an order or using our website.
You can contact us:
- by email at [email protected]
- by telephone on 02380 814360
- in writing at the address above
- through the form on our Contact Us page
If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone or by writing to the email address or postal address you gave us in your order.
2. These terms and other terms that apply
2.1 These terms set out the basis on which we sell products to you through lemieux.com. They apply to every order unless we have agreed something different with you in writing.
2.2 The following also apply to you and form part of your agreement with us:
Privacy Notice
Privacy Notice — How we collect and use your personal information.
Cookie Notice — How we use cookies and similar technologies.
Delivery & Returns — Current delivery options, prices and timescales.
Section 19 below — Promotions, sales and free gifts.
Section 20 below — Prize draws and competitions.
Section 21 below — Use of the LeMieux Community Platform.
2.3 Where we publish specific terms for an individual promotion, sale or prize draw, those specific terms apply in addition to these terms. If there is any conflict between them, the specific promotion terms take priority for that promotion only.
2.4 We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in our products, or in how we operate. The current version is always on this page with the date it was last updated. Changes do not apply to orders we have already accepted.
2.5 Nothing in these terms reduces or affects your legal rights as a consumer. If any part of these terms conflicts with your legal rights, your legal rights prevail. For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk or on 0808 223 1133.
3. Who can buy from us
3.1 To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.
3.2 Our products are sold for your own personal, domestic and private use. They are not sold for resale. We may refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably believe the products are being bought for resale or for a commercial purpose, or where the quantity ordered is not consistent with personal use.
3.3 If you are a trade customer or stockist, please contact our wholesale team rather than ordering through this website. Different terms apply.
Part B — Products, orders and payment
4. Our products, colours and sizing
4.1 We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, the colours shown on your device depend on your screen, its settings and your lighting, and there is naturally some variation between production batches and between different fabrics and finishes in the same colourway. Slight variation of this kind is normal and is not a fault.
4.2 If you are matching items across a collection, we recommend ordering them together, as dye lots can vary between production runs. We cannot guarantee an exact match between items bought at different times.
4.3 Size guides are a guide only. Fit varies between styles and between horses. Please check the specific guidance on the product page.
4.4 Product packaging may vary from the images shown.
4.5 This section does not affect your legal rights if a product is genuinely not as described, is of unsatisfactory quality or is not fit for purpose. See section 17.
5. Protective equipment
5.1 Riding helmets, body protectors and similar items are personal protective equipment. Please read and follow the fitting guidance and manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the product, and have the item professionally fitted where that is recommended.
5.2 A helmet that has sustained an impact, or that has been dropped onto a hard surface, must be replaced even if there is no visible damage. Helmets should also be replaced in line with the manufacturer’s recommended lifespan.
5.3 For hygiene and safety reasons, we can only accept the return of a helmet or body protector as an unwanted item if it is unused and is returned with all original labels, packaging and protective inserts intact. This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty or not as described.
5.4 If we issue a safety notice or recall affecting a product you have bought, we will contact you using the details on your order and publish details on this website.
6. How your order is accepted
6.1 Our website and our advertising are an invitation to you to place an order, not an offer to sell.
6.2 When you place an order we will send you an acknowledgement email confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement is not acceptance of your order.
6.3 A contract between you and us comes into existence only when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. If your order contains more than one item, a separate contract is formed for each item as it is dispatched.
6.4 If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and will not charge you. This might be because an item is out of stock, because we have identified an error in the price or description, because we cannot authorise your payment, because we suspect fraud or misuse of a promotion, or because we are unable to deliver to your address.
6.5 We will give your order a reference number. Please quote it whenever you contact us about the order.
7. Changing or cancelling your order before dispatch
7.1 Because we aim to pick and pack orders very quickly, we are usually unable to amend an order once it has been placed. This includes changing items, sizes, colours, quantities or the delivery address.
7.2 If you contact us promptly we will do what we can, but we cannot guarantee that a change is possible.
7.3 This does not affect your separate legal right to cancel, which is set out in section 12.
8. Price and payment
8.1 The price of a product is the price shown on the product page at the time you place your order. Prices include VAT where applicable.
8.2 The total price payable, including any delivery charge and any unavoidable charges we apply, is shown to you before you confirm your order. We do not add compulsory charges after that point.
8.3 Prices on our country and regional stores are set in the relevant currency and may differ between stores. The price that applies is the price on the store through which you order.
8.4 If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date we supply the product, we will adjust the VAT you pay unless you have already paid in full before the change takes effect.
8.5 Pricing and description errors. We try hard to ensure that prices and descriptions are correct. Very occasionally an error occurs. If we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered:
- if the correct price is lower than the price shown, we will charge the lower amount;
- if the correct price is higher than the price shown, we will contact you before dispatch and ask whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel. If we cannot reach you, we will treat the order as cancelled and refund you in full;
- if a pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable, and could reasonably have been recognised by you as an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full even if we have already sent a dispatch confirmation.
8.6 We accept Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, Maestro, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Available methods may vary by store and may change.
8.7 We take payment when your order is dispatched, unless the payment method you have chosen takes payment earlier.
8.8 Klarna. To offer you Klarna’s payment methods we may, at checkout, pass your contact and order details to Klarna so that Klarna can assess whether you qualify for its payment methods and tailor them to you. Klarna processes that information in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice. Klarna is currently available to customers in the UK, Finland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece.
8.9 If you fail to make a payment when due, we may charge interest on the overdue amount at 4% a year above the Bank of England base rate. This does not apply where you are withholding payment because you reasonably believe a product is faulty or misdescribed.
Part C — Delivery
9. UK delivery
9.1 Current delivery options, prices and estimated timescales are shown at checkout and on our Delivery & Returns page.
9.2 UK orders over £75 in value qualify for free standard delivery. This includes England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. Qualifying value is calculated on the price you actually pay for the goods, after any discount, and excludes delivery charges and gift card purchases.
9.3 We aim to dispatch orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday on the same working day. This is an aim, not a guarantee, and is not always possible at busy periods.
9.4 Delivery estimates are estimates. Although we use reputable couriers, delivery cannot be guaranteed, as factors such as extreme weather and local depot problems are outside our control.
9.5 Your order is delivered when it is handed to you or left at the address or safe place you have specified.
9.6 Safe place deliveries. If you ask the courier to leave your order in a safe place without a signature, you do so at your own risk and we are not responsible for loss or damage after it has been left there. Couriers will not leave an order if they do not consider it safe to do so.
10. International delivery, duties and taxes
10.1 Delivery costs for international orders are shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Further detail is on our Delivery & Returns page.
10.2 For deliveries to Spain we require your DNI number so that the parcel can clear Spanish customs.
10.3 Import duties and taxes. For orders delivered outside the United Kingdom you may have to pay import duty, taxes and handling fees to your local customs authority. These charges are outside our control, are not included in the price you pay us, and are your responsibility. They are normally collected by the courier before delivery.
10.4 If you refuse to pay import charges and the parcel is returned to us, we will deduct from any refund due the delivery, return shipping and any other costs we incur. Return shipping is priced by the courier and may cost more than the original outbound charge. If the cost of returning the goods exceeds their value, the courier may destroy them, in which case no refund will be due.
10.5 This section does not affect your legal right to cancel under section 12. Where you exercise that right, section 16 sets out what we refund.
11. If delivery goes wrong
11.1 If your order has not arrived within the estimated timescale, please first check the tracking link in your dispatch confirmation email. If that does not locate it, contact us on 02380 814360 or at [email protected] and we will help.
11.2 Please check your order on arrival and tell us within 14 days of delivery if anything is missing or damaged. Reporting promptly helps us investigate with the courier. If you report a shortage or damage later than this, we may be unable to establish what happened, but this does not remove your legal rights.
11.3 If nobody is available at your address to take delivery, the courier will leave a note explaining how to rearrange delivery or collect the parcel.
11.4 If, after a failed delivery, you do not rearrange delivery or collect the parcel from the courier, we may end the contract and section 16 will apply. We may charge you the cost of any failed delivery and storage.
Part D — Returns, refunds and faulty goods
Two separate sets of rights apply when you want to return something. Section 12 is your legal right to change your mind. Section 13 is our additional returns policy, which is more generous than the law requires. You can rely on whichever suits you better.
12. Your legal right to cancel
12.1 As a consumer buying online, you have a legal right to change your mind and cancel your order without giving a reason. This right comes from the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
12.2 How long you have. You may cancel at any time from the moment you place your order until 14 days after the day on which you (or someone you have nominated) receive the goods. If your order is delivered in instalments, the 14 days run from the day you receive the last item.
12.3 How to cancel. Tell us clearly that you are cancelling, before the 14 days expire. You can do this by:
- emailing us at [email protected]
- telephoning us on 02380 814360
- completing the returns form supplied with your order, or downloading one from our Delivery & Returns page
- writing to us at the address in section 1
12.4 Returning the goods. You must send the goods back to us within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling.
12.5 Refund. We will refund the price you paid for the goods, together with the cost of standard outbound delivery. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard service, we refund only the standard amount. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back from you, or within 14 days of you providing evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier.
12.6 Return postage. Unless the goods are faulty or misdescribed, you pay the cost of returning them to us.
12.7 Exceptions. The legal right to cancel does not apply to certain products. See section 14.
13. Our extended returns policy
13.1 In addition to your legal rights, and as a goodwill gesture, we will accept the return of unwanted items within 60 days, starting the day after delivery, provided they are unused, in their original saleable condition, undamaged, and returned with their original tags and packaging.
13.2 To use this policy you must tell us that you want to return the goods within 14 days, starting the day after delivery, and then return them within the 60-day period.
13.3 Under this policy we refund the price you paid for the goods. We do not refund the original delivery charge, and you pay the cost of return postage.
13.4 This policy is in addition to, and does not replace, your legal rights in section 12 or section 17. Where the two differ, you may rely on whichever is more favourable to you.
14. Items we cannot take back as unwanted
14.1 We cannot accept the return of the following as unwanted items:
- Personalised or made-to-order products, such as embroidered rugs, saddle pads or name plates. Once production has started these cannot be resold.
- Feed supplements and other sealed consumable products where the seal has been broken, for hygiene and health protection reasons.
- Gel products (including Acavallo and LeMieux gel items) that have been in contact with a horse. Because of the tacky surface of these products, contact leaves hair and debris that cannot be removed, and the item cannot be resold.
- Helmets and body protectors that have been used, or returned without their original labels, packaging and inserts (see section 5.3).
- E-gift cards and gift vouchers (see section 18).
14.2 These exclusions apply only to unwanted items. They never apply where a product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described. In those cases your rights under section 17 apply in full.
15. How to return something
15.1 Use the returns form supplied with your order, or download one from our Delivery & Returns page.
15.2 Returned goods remain your responsibility until we receive them. We strongly recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage, and packaging items well enough that they are not damaged on the way back to us.
15.3 The cost of returning goods is yours unless the goods are faulty, damaged or misdescribed. If you are returning from outside the UK, all customs and import duties on the return are your responsibility and you should select “duty payable by sender” when booking.
15.4 We ask that items are returned clean and dry. This is so that our warehouse team are not handling soiled goods, and so that we can assess the item properly. If an item arrives in a condition that means we cannot safely handle or inspect it, we will contact you to agree what happens next rather than simply refusing it. This does not affect your rights in respect of faulty goods.
15.5 Please do not continue to use an item you believe is damaged or faulty. Continuing to use it makes it harder to establish the original condition and may limit what we can do.
16. Refunds and deductions
16.1 We aim to process refunds within 7 working days of receiving your return. At exceptionally busy times this may take longer, but we will always refund within the periods set out in sections 12.5 and 13.
16.2 We refund using the same payment method you used to pay, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not be charged any fee for the refund.
16.3 Deduction for reduced value. If you have handled an item more than was necessary to examine it — for example if it is dirty, marked, damaged, has been worn or used, or is otherwise not in a saleable condition — we may reduce your refund to reflect the reduction in the item’s value.
16.4 If we make a deduction under section 16.3, we will:
- tell you before we process the refund;
- explain what we have deducted and why;
- base the amount on the actual reduction in the item’s resale value, not on a fixed penalty; and
- offer to return the item to you instead, at your cost, if you would prefer that.
If you disagree with a deduction, contact us and we will review it.
16.5 We do not make deductions where an item is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described.
16.6 Where your order included a promotion, discount or free gift, section 19.7 explains how your refund is calculated.
17. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed products
17.1 We have a legal duty to supply products that are as described, match any sample or model shown to you, are of satisfactory quality, and are fit for purpose. These rights come from the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and cannot be excluded.
17.2 In summary, if a product is faulty, damaged or not as described:
Within 30 days of delivery
A full refund
Within 6 months of delivery
A repair or replacement. If that does not resolve the problem, a refund
After 6 months, and up to 6 years
A repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances
These are your minimum rights. In practice we will often do more.
17.3 Please tell us as soon as you become aware of a problem, and return the item as soon as you reasonably can. Where a product is faulty, damaged or misdescribed, we pay the cost of returning it — contact us and we will arrange this or reimburse you.
17.4 Free gifts and promotional items carry the same rights as items you have paid for. If a free gift is faulty, we will replace it or, if we cannot, credit you its value.
17.5 If you have any concern that we have not met our legal obligations to you, please contact us. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights.
Part E — Gift cards, promotions and prize draws
18. Gift vouchers and e-gift cards
18.1 Gift vouchers and e-gift cards are issued by email and can be redeemed online at lemieux.com only. They cannot be redeemed at shows, at events, or with LeMieux stockists.
18.2 They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Any unspent balance is forfeited at expiry.
18.3 Gift vouchers and e-gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, and they cannot be used to buy another gift voucher or e-gift card.
18.4 If your order is worth more than the value of the voucher, you pay the balance using another accepted payment method.
18.5 If you return an item that was paid for with a gift voucher or e-gift card, we refund that portion of the payment as a new gift voucher or e-gift card of the same value.
18.6 Please treat gift vouchers and e-gift cards like cash. We are not able to replace them if they are lost, stolen or used without your permission, unless this results from something we have done wrong.
18.7 Buying a gift voucher or e-gift card does not count towards qualifying spend for free delivery or for any promotion, unless we say otherwise.
19. Promotions, sales and free gifts
19.1 What this section covers
This section applies to every promotion we run on lemieux.com, including sale events, price reductions, promotional codes, multi-buy offers, spend-threshold offers, free gifts and free items.
We will publish specific terms alongside each promotion setting out the details that vary — the dates, the products included and excluded, any code required, and any quantity limits. Those specific terms apply in addition to this section, and take priority over it if they conflict. This section, and these terms generally, fill in everything the specific terms do not cover.
19.2 General rules for all promotions
- (a) Where promotions apply. Unless the specific terms say otherwise, promotions apply only to orders placed through the website and the app. They do not apply to purchases from LeMieux stockists, at shows or events, or through third-party retailers or marketplaces.
- (b) Promotional period. A promotion runs from the start date and time to the end date and time we advertise. Orders placed before the start, or after the end, are not eligible.
- (c) No retrospective application. We do not apply promotional discounts or free gifts to orders already placed. If something you have already bought later goes into a promotion, we will not refund the difference or send the gift. This applies however soon after your order the promotion starts.
- (d) Eligible products. A promotion applies only to the products identified as included. Unless the specific terms say otherwise, gift vouchers, e-gift cards, delivery charges, and any product marked as excluded from promotions are not eligible, and spend on them does not count towards a qualifying total.
- (e) Availability. Promotions are subject to availability and run while stocks last. We may end a promotion early if stock runs out.
- (f) Quantity limits. We may limit the number of promotional items or discounted items per customer, per order or per household. Where a limit applies we will state it in the specific terms. Where no limit is stated, we may still refuse orders in quantities that are not consistent with personal use.
- (g) Not combinable. Unless we expressly say otherwise, a promotion cannot be used together with any other promotional code, discount, employee discount, voucher, affiliate offer or loyalty reward. Where more than one offer could apply, only one will be applied — normally the one that gives you the greater saving.
- (h) No cash alternative. Promotions, discounts and free items cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, gift cards or alternative products.
- (i) Personal use only. Promotions are for consumers buying for their own personal use. They are not available for trade, wholesale or resale purchases.
- (j) Your legal rights. Nothing in this section affects your legal rights, including your right to cancel (section 12) and your rights if a product is faulty or misdescribed (section 17). These rights apply to promotional and sale items in exactly the same way as to full-price items.
19.3 Promotional codes
- (a) Where a promotion requires a code, you must enter it at checkout before completing your order. Codes cannot be applied to an order after it has been placed.
- (b) Codes are for the use of the person they were issued to, unless we have published them publicly. Please do not share a personal code, and please do not post it to discount code websites, forums or social media.
- (c) Each code can be used once per customer unless we say otherwise.
- (d) If a code is published or shared without our authorisation, we may withdraw it and decline orders that have used it.
- (e) If a code does not work at checkout, please contact us before completing your order. Once your order has been placed, we cannot add the discount.
19.4 Sale promotions and price reductions
- (a) Sale prices apply only during the advertised sale period and only to the products included in the sale.
- (b) Reference prices. Where we show a previous price next to a reduced price — for example “was £X, now £Y” — the previous price is the price at which we offered that product for sale on the same store for a continuous period of at least 28 days immediately before the reduction began.
- (c) Recommended retail prices. Where we compare our price to a recommended retail price or a manufacturer’s price, that is the price recommended by the manufacturer or supplier and may not be the price charged elsewhere.
- (d) Outlet products. Products in the LeMieux Outlet are end-of-line, discontinued or past-season items offered at a reduced price on an ongoing basis. They are not part of a time-limited sale and are not subject to the promotional period rules in section 19.2(b). All other parts of this section apply to them.
- (e) Sale prices exclude delivery charges. Qualifying spend for free delivery is calculated on the price you actually pay for the goods.
19.5 Free gifts and free items
- (a) Where we offer a free gift, free item or complimentary product with a qualifying purchase, you are entitled to receive it if you meet the conditions of the offer and we accept your order.
- (b) Free gifts are subject to availability and are offered while stocks last.
- (c) Substitution. If the advertised free gift becomes unavailable, we may supply an alternative item of equal or greater value. If the alternative is materially different from what was advertised, we will tell you and you may cancel your order for a full refund before it is dispatched.
- (d) A free gift has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, and cannot be exchanged for a different product, colour or size unless we say otherwise.
- (e) A free gift may only be returned together with the qualifying items from the same order. We cannot accept the return of a free gift on its own for a refund or credit, because nothing was paid for it. This does not apply if the gift is faulty — see section 17.4.
- (f) Unless the specific terms say otherwise, you are entitled to one free gift per qualifying order.
19.6 Multi-buy and spend-threshold offers
- (a) Where an offer depends on you spending a minimum amount (“spend £100, get X”) or buying a minimum number of items (“3 for 2”), the qualifying total is calculated on the price you actually pay for eligible goods, after any other discount, and excludes delivery charges and any excluded products.
- (b) In a “buy X get Y free” or “3 for 2” offer, the free or discounted item is the lowest-priced qualifying item unless we say otherwise.
- (c) Where a discount applies to your basket as a whole, we allocate it across the eligible items in proportion to their prices. This matters if you later return part of the order — see section 19.7.
19.7 Returns and refunds on promotional orders
This is the part people most often ask about, so we have set it out in full.
- (a) Your right to cancel and your rights over faulty goods apply to promotional and sale items in exactly the same way as to anything else.
- (b) We refund what you paid. If you return a reduced-price item, we refund the price you actually paid for it, not its full or pre-sale price.
- (c) Basket-level discounts. If a discount applied across your whole basket, we refund the discounted value of the items you return, calculated using the proportional allocation in section 19.6(c).
- (d) Returns that break a qualifying condition. If you return items so that your remaining order no longer meets the conditions of an offer, the offer no longer applies to the items you keep. We recalculate your order at the normal prices for those items and adjust your refund accordingly. Your refund will never be reduced below nil, and we will never ask you to pay more than you originally paid.
- (e) Free gifts on a broken qualifying condition. If your return means your order no longer qualifies for a free gift, you can either:
- return the free gift with the qualifying items, in which case your refund is not reduced; or
- keep the free gift, in which case we may deduct from your refund the lower of (i) the price at which we were selling that item on our website at the time of your order, and (ii) the amount of the refund otherwise due to you.
- (f) Where you cancel your entire order under section 12, you must return everything from it, including any free gift, and we will refund you in full including standard outbound delivery.
- (g) We will always explain how a refund on a promotional order has been calculated. If you think we have made a mistake, contact us and we will review it.
19.8 Misuse of promotions
- (a) We may decline to apply a promotion, cancel an order, or withdraw a code where we reasonably believe a promotion is being misused. Examples of misuse include:
- using multiple accounts, addresses or payment methods to exceed a stated limit;
- using automated tools or bots to place orders;
- buying promotional stock for resale;
- publishing or sharing a personal code without authorisation;
- providing false information; and
- fraudulent or attempted fraudulent use of a payment method.
- (b) Where we cancel an order under this section we will tell you why and refund anything you have paid.
- (c) We will act reasonably and proportionately. If you believe we have wrongly declined a promotion, contact us and we will look at it again.
19.9 Changing or withdrawing a promotion
- (a) We may amend, suspend, shorten, extend or withdraw a promotion where there is a good reason to do so — for example if stock runs out, if there is an error in how the promotion was advertised, if there is a technical failure, or if circumstances outside our control make it impracticable to continue.
- (b) Withdrawing or changing a promotion does not affect orders we have already accepted. If you have placed a qualifying order before the change, we will honour the promotion as it was advertised to you.
- (c) Where we can give advance notice of a change, we will.
20. Prize draws and competitions
20.1 General rules for all prize draws and competitions
- (a) These rules apply to every prize draw and competition we run, including the LeMieux Advent Calendar. We will publish specific terms for each one covering the entry dates, how to enter, the prizes and any additional conditions. Those specific terms take priority over this section if they conflict.
- (b) Promoter. The promoter is LeMieux Limited, company number 04656887, Woodington Road, East Wellow, Romsey, Hampshire, England, SO51 6DQ.
- (c) Who can enter. Entrants must be 13 or over. Employees of LeMieux and their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion, cannot enter.
- (d) Entry. One entry per person unless the specific terms say otherwise. Entries submitted through automated means, bulk entries, or entries by third parties on an entrant’s behalf are not valid. Entries received after the closing date and time are not valid.
- (e) Free entry route. Where entry would otherwise require a purchase, we will always provide a free method of entry, set out in the specific terms and given equal prominence. Entering free of charge gives you exactly the same chance of winning as entering by purchase.
- (f) How winners are selected. Winners are drawn at random from all valid entries by an independent person, or by a computer process producing a verifiably random result, under independent supervision. Draws are carried out using entry identifiers such as order numbers rather than entrant names, and entrant contact details are only retrieved once the winning entries have been selected.
- (g) Notifying winners. We will contact winners directly using the details supplied with their entry, within 3 working days of the relevant draw. Where a promotion runs across time zones, we allow the relevant day to end globally before drawing.
- (h) Claiming a prize. A winner must respond and confirm their delivery details within 14 days of us first contacting them. If a winner does not respond within that period, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, we may withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.
- (i) Prizes. Prizes are as described in the specific terms. There is no cash alternative and prizes are not transferable. We may substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Prizes are subject to availability. Where a prize consists of products, your legal rights in relation to faulty goods apply.
- (j) Publishing winners. We will make the surname-initial and county of major prizewinners, and the prizes won, available on request for a reasonable period after the promotion closes. If you win and you object to your details being made available, please tell us when you claim your prize and we will discuss what information can be withheld. We will not publish full names, addresses, contact details or order information.
- (k) Our decision. Our decision on all matters relating to a promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- (l) Disqualification. We may disqualify an entry, or withdraw a prize, where we reasonably believe an entrant has breached these rules, tampered with the entry process, or acted fraudulently.
- (m) Your personal information. We use entrant information only to administer the promotion, notify winners and deliver prizes, and we handle it in accordance with our Privacy Notice. We do not add entrants to marketing lists as a condition of entry.
- (n) By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules and by the specific terms for that promotion.
20.2 LeMieux Advent Calendar
- (a) Each Advent Calendar offer or prize draw is available on the specified day only, as stated on the calendar.
- (b) Where a day features a prize draw, the general rules in section 20.1 apply, including the free entry route in section 20.1(e).
- (c) Winners are contacted within 3 working days following the relevant Advent day, to allow that day to finish globally in all time zones.
- (d) Where a day features a discount or offer rather than a prize draw, section 19 applies to it.
Part F — LeMieux Community Platform
21. Community Platform terms
Last updated: 18/08/2026
These terms govern your use of the LeMieux Community Platform (the “Community”), operated by LeMieux Limited. By accessing or using the Community you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Community.
21.1 Purpose
The Community is an online space for equestrians to share experiences, ask questions, post photographs and take part in conversations about horses, riding and LeMieux products. We encourage open and respectful discussion, and we expect all users to follow these terms and our Community Guidelines.
21.2 Who can take part
- (a) You must be at least 13 years old to use the Community.
- (b) If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian before you post content, because posting grants us a licence to use that content (see section 21.5).
- (c) Do not post photographs or videos of any identifiable child unless you are their parent or guardian, or you have the permission of their parent or guardian.
21.3 How you must behave
You agree not to post, upload or share content that:
- contains offensive, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or threatening language;
- promotes hate, harassment or discrimination;
- is false or misleading, or promotes unsafe equestrian practices or unsafe horse welfare;
- advertises, spams, or promotes products or services other than LeMieux’s;
- infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
- contains personal information about another person without their consent; or
- is unlawful in any other way.
21.4 Moderation, reporting and removal
- (a) We may monitor, edit or remove content posted to the Community, but we are not obliged to review everything and we do not guarantee that inappropriate material will be removed immediately.
- (b) If you see something that breaches these terms, please report it using the reporting function or by contacting us. We will review reports within a reasonable time.
- (c) Repeated or serious breaches may result in your content being removed and your access being suspended or ended.
21.5 Your content and the licence you give us
- (a) You keep ownership of everything you post (“Your Content”).
- (b) By posting Your Content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual and sub-licensable licence to use, host, store, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, translate and distribute it, and to use your first name, username or handle alongside it, across LeMieux digital and marketing channels. This includes lemieux.com, the LeMieux app, our social media accounts, email marketing, in-store and event materials, and the Community itself. The sub-licence right lets us use agencies, retail partners and platform providers to do these things on our behalf.
- (c) You confirm that you own Your Content or have all necessary permissions to post it and to grant us this licence, including the permission of anyone identifiable in it.
- (d) Withdrawing content. You can delete Your Content from the Community at any time, and you can ask us to stop using it elsewhere by contacting us at [email protected]. We will stop making new use of it as soon as reasonably practicable and will remove it from channels we control. We may not be able to recall material already printed, distributed to third parties, or cached or copied by others, and we may keep a copy where we need to for legal or record-keeping reasons.
- (e) To the extent permitted by law, you waive any moral rights in Your Content. This does not affect your right to be identified where we choose to credit you.
- (f) We do not have to use Your Content, and we do not owe you any payment for using it.
21.6 Product reviews
- (a) Reviews must be genuine and based on your own real experience of the product.
- (b) If you received the product free of charge, at a discount, or as part of any reward, gifting or ambassador arrangement, you must say so clearly in your review.
- (c) We do not remove or suppress reviews simply because they are negative. We may remove reviews that are fake, incentivised without disclosure, offensive, off-topic, or in breach of these terms.
- (d) Do not post a review of a product you have not used, and do not post a review on behalf of anyone else.
21.7 No professional advice
- (a) Information and advice shared in the Community, including on horse care, veterinary matters, nutrition and training, reflects the personal experiences and opinions of members.
- (b) We do not verify, endorse or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of anything posted by users.
- (c) Always consult a vet, farrier, qualified instructor or other appropriate professional before acting on advice you find in the Community. In an emergency, contact your vet.
21.8 Customer service
The Community is for peer-to-peer conversation. For help with an order, delivery, return or product, please contact our Customer Care team at [email protected]. LeMieux staff sometimes join discussions, but a Community response is not an official customer service response and does not bind us.
21.9 Your privacy
- (a) Your use of the Community is subject to our Privacy Notice.
- (b) Please do not post personal or sensitive information — such as your address, telephone number, order details or payment information — publicly in the Community.
21.10 Our responsibility for the Community
- (a) We are not responsible for the actions, content or opinions of Community members.
- (b) Subject to section 24, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your reliance on information shared in the Community.
- (c) Section 24 sets out the limits of our liability and the things we never exclude.
21.11 Suspending or ending access
- (a) We may suspend or end your access to the Community where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, where your conduct is harmful to other members or to our staff, or where we are required to do so by law.
- (b) Except where the breach is serious or we are legally prevented from doing so, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond.
- (c) We may also withdraw the Community as a whole, or change how it works. Where this materially affects you we will give reasonable notice.
21.12 Changes to these Community terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page with the date it was last updated. If a change materially affects your rights we will give you notice, for example by posting in the Community or emailing you. If you do not accept a change, you should stop using the Community.
Part G — General
22. Your personal information
We use your personal information only as set out in our Privacy Notice, which explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.
To fulfil your order and run our business we share information with service providers acting on our behalf or as independent controllers, including payment providers, fraud prevention services, couriers, and IT and marketing service providers. Our Privacy Notice sets out the detail. We do not sell your personal information.
23. Website security and availability
23.1 Information you submit when placing an order is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by us in full.
23.2 No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
23.3 You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential. Please tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
23.4 We do not guarantee that our website will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons, and we will give reasonable notice where we can.
23.5 You must not misuse our website, including by introducing malicious code, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or scraping content or prices without our written permission.
23.6 All content on our website, including text, images, designs, logos and the LeMieux name, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use it commercially without our permission.
24. Our liability to you
24.1 If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen, or if at the time the contract was made both you and we knew it might happen.
24.2 We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes our liability:
- for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or that of our employees, agents or subcontractors;
- for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, including the right to receive products that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and supplied with reasonable care and skill; and
- under Part I of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 (liability for defective products).
24.3 We supply our products for domestic and private use. If you use them for any commercial, business or resale purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
24.4 We are not responsible for damage to products caused by failure to follow the care instructions, fitting guidance or manufacturer’s instructions supplied with them, or by use for a purpose the product was not designed for.
25. Events outside our control
25.1 We are not responsible for delays or failures in performing our obligations caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, flood, fire, epidemic, war, civil unrest, industrial action, failure of public or private telecommunications networks, cyber attack, acts of government, or the failure of couriers or suppliers where that failure is itself caused by such an event.
25.2 If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as we can, tell you what it means for your order, and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay.
25.3 If the delay is likely to be substantial you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for anything you have paid for and not received.
26. Complaints
26.1 If something has gone wrong, please contact our Customer Care team at [email protected] or on 02380 814360. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days, keeping you updated if it will take longer.
26.2 If you are not satisfied with our response, you can ask for it to be escalated to a manager.
26.3 Alternative dispute resolution. We do not currently participate in an alternative dispute resolution scheme. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may take the matter to court, and you can get free independent advice from Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk or on 0808 223 1133.
27. Other important terms
27.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens and will make sure the transfer does not affect your rights.
27.2 You may only transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person if we agree in writing. We will not unreasonably refuse.
27.3 This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.
27.4 Each paragraph of these terms operates separately. If a court decides that any paragraph is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs remain in full force.
27.5 If we delay in enforcing any part of these terms, or do not enforce it at all, that does not prevent us from enforcing it later.
27.6 If we have to contact you about a serious matter, such as a product safety notice, we will use the contact details on your order. Please keep them up to date.
28. Governing law and where you can bring proceedings
28.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
28.2 If you live in Scotland, you can bring proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
28.3 If you live outside the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence, and you may be able to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
