What are the benefits of LeMieux bandage pads?

LeMieux bandage pads are placed underneath bandages, offering protective coverage and temperature control. They’re comfortable to wear for long periods without irritating your horse’s skin. The material dries wet legs, allowing your horse to exercise for longer.

How should you look after LeMieux bandage pads?

LeMieux horse bandage pads are machine washable on a standard 30-degree cycle. Before washing, close all hooks and loops and place your pads in a wash bag. This will help protect the fabric. You can also safely use a washing tab or capsule. To dry, place them on an airer or washing line and keep them away from direct heat. We’d always advise against using a tumble dryer.

How often should you replace LeMieux bandage pads?

To keep your horse comfortable, change your bandage pads every 12 hours. Dirt and debris are likely to build-up within this time, potentially causing irritation. If your bandage pads are wet or dirty, you’ll need to wash them before reusing. If they’re clean or dry, however, you can use them for a little longer. Keep an eye on the condition to make sure they’re a snug fit. If they’re too loose or don’t feel stretchy enough, it’s time to replace them.
