What are the features of a self-cooling saddle pad?

LeMieux self-cooling saddle pads are made with our innovative FeelCool® Ice material. With a cooling crystal kneaded into the weave that’s activated by moisture, these saddle pads gradually absorb and wick sweat away from the horse. Once dissipated, the pad produces a rapid cooling effect.

Our self-cool pads also have a carbon mesh spine insert. This reduces pressure and allows heat to rise and escape through the top.

Who are LeMieux self-cooling saddle pads for?

LeMieux self-cool saddling pads are ideal for hot and humid conditions or for horses that generally sweat a lot as they work.

How should you look after a LeMieux self-cooling saddle pad?

You can throw your self-cool saddle pad in the washing machine on a normal 30-degree wash. Before washing, make sure the drum’s big enough and close all hooks. Pull your pad into the correct shape whilst damp to maintain its shape during drying. Then dry it naturally away from heat. We don’t recommend using a tumble dryer.

How long can you use a LeMieux self-cooling saddle pad?

Our self-cooling saddle pads are designed to last for years with the right care. While light wear and tear are normal, you’ll need to replace your pad once it starts to show signs of damage. This is to protect you and your horse.
