Gel Saddle Pads - FAQ's

Why choose a LeMieux Gel Saddle Pad?

Our innovative gel saddle pads offer therapeutic shock absorption alongside non-slip security to prevent the saddle from moving. They’re easy to care for, making them a high-performing choice for any serious rider.

What are the features of a Gel Saddle Pad?

By choosing a gel saddle pad from LeMieux, you’ll benefit from enhanced comfort and more effective air circulation. You’ll also experience exceptional shock absorption. Our special gel is non-toxic and hypoallergenic. This means it won’t react against the skin – even if your horse has sensitive skin.

Who are LeMieux Gel Saddle Pads for?

LeMieux gel saddle pads are a real asset for saddles that rotate on more roundly-shaped horses and ponies. The gel can be cut to size if needed. Show riders often cut our shaped gel pads to half an inch inside the saddle profile to make it look like there’s nothing underneath the saddle.

How should you look after a LeMieux Gel Saddle Pad?

Our gel saddle pads can be washed at 30 degrees in the washing machine or by hand in a bucket of water using a small amount of Fairy Liquid. Don’t use harsh detergents. After washing, allow your pad to dry naturally. Don’t expose the pad to direct heat or strong sunlight. We also don’t recommend using a tumble dryer.

How long can you use a LeMieux Gel Saddle Pad?

LeMieux gel saddle pads are made to be durable. If you take care of them properly, they can last for years. Wear and tear will naturally occur over time. Keep an eye on your pad’s condition and replace it when it’s time for a refresh.
