What are LeMieux Navy Numnahs made of?

LeMieux navy numnahs are made from woven satin, cotton, suede, carbon mesh, anti-slip silicone, and innovative self-cooling material. We also have pads specially designed for sensitive-skinned horses. For comfort, our newer styles have an absorbent bamboo lining. This innovative material wicks sweat and helps regulate the temperature throughout the year.

How should you look after a LeMieux Navy Numnah?

We’ve crafted our navy numnahs to be as easy to care for as possible. Remove debris, dirt, and dried sweat with a stiff brush and close all hooks and loops. This will help protect the fabric. Then, place your pad in a wash bag (if possible) and wash it on a standard 30-degree cycle. Once damp, pull the pad into the correct shape.

We’d recommend letting it dry away from the heat on a line or airer. Never place your numnah in the tumble dryer.

How often should you replace a LeMieux Navy Numnah?

As long as you remove debris after every use and follow the wash care instructions, your navy numnah will last for years. However, they’re not immune to wear and tear. Eventually, you’ll need to replace your numnah – but that shouldn’t be until it’s worn out.
