What are LeMieux numnahs made of?

LeMieux numnahs are uniquely made with silicone and anti-slip gel that can be placed directly on the horse’s skin. The non-slip gel is non-toxic and stops unwanted movement both back and forth and side to side. Both materials also provide excellent shock absorbency, keeping your horse comfortable in the saddle.

How should you look after LeMieux non-slip numnah?

LeMieux non-slip numnahs are super easy to care for, as they can be placed in the washing machine on a 30-degree cycle. Before washing, close all hooks and loops and remove sweat and hair with a stiff brush. We’d also recommend using a wash bag to protect the fabric and fixings.

Once your pad is damp, pull it into the correct shape and leave it to dry naturally away from heat. We’d never recommend drying using a tumble dryer.

How often should you replace a LeMieux non-slip numnah?

If you follow the instructions and wash your non-slip numnah carefully, it will last you for years. That being said, numnahs naturally experience wear and tear over time. You may need to replace it a bit sooner if you ride every day. The more intense you ride, the quicker you’ll need to replace your numnah.
