Like the name suggests, showing saddle pads are most commonly used in showing. They’re placed beneath a saddle to absorb sweat and protect the horse’s back.

 

While white showing saddle pads are most commonly used for dressage, showing saddle pads use colours to match the horses tack and therefore be more discreet.

How should I look after my LeMieux Showing Saddle Pad?

LeMieux showing saddle pads are easy to look after. You can pop them in the washing machine on a standard 30-degree cycle. Remove dried sweat, dirt and hair with a stiff brush first before closing all fastenings to prevent damage.

 

Once clean and damp, you can pull your saddle pad into the correct shape and dry it naturally away from heat. It’s always a good idea to check the wash care instructions of your saddle pad before washing.

How long can I use my LeMieux Showing Saddle Pad?

LeMieux showing saddle pads are designed to be tough and stand up to wear in areas of high friction. When looked after, they can last for years. However, wear and tear naturally occurs over time.

 

You’ll need to replace your saddle pad eventually, but this depends on how often and long you ride.
