Product Details

Safe and easy headcollar to use for turnout. Gives peace of mind if horses ever get caught up in the field, or for tying up difficult horses and ponies. Ideal for educating youngsters and those with established bad habits. The leather pressure release mechanism breaks under heavy load, avoiding serious injury. Smart enough to use for travelling, turnout and shows.

Made from strong premium nylon with padded nose

Practical and smart with stitched leather detail

Leather headpiece offers safety in a pull back situation

Please note: Safety is one of the benefits of a breakaway headcollar versus a nylon headcollar. They are designed to break under extreme pressure, i.e. if a horse pulls back when tied up or the headcollar is caught on a fence or solid object. This normally occurs at the point of the check rings and can prevent serious injury.

We always recommend tying up with a quick-release knot and monitoring difficult horses consistently.

LeMieux deeply values horses' safety, and our product designs prioritise horses' comfort and protection; this is unconditional. As equestrians, we know that horse care goes beyond choosing the best products for your horse. Your horse relies on you to care for them. No product, however well made, is designed to replace this attention.

You should check your horse's tack/accessories AM and PM daily at a minimum to ensure their wellbeing.

The British Horse Society (BHS) advises that horses should be checked at least twice a day. This guidance ensures that any signs of illness, injury, or issues with the horse's environment can be quickly identified and addressed, thereby maintaining the horse's welfare and safety.
