Please note: Safety is one of the benefits of a breakaway headcollar versus a nylon headcollar. They are designed to break under extreme pressure, i.e. if a horse pulls back when tied up or the headcollar is caught on a fence or solid object. This normally occurs at the point of the check rings and can prevent serious injury.

We always recommend tying up with a quick-release knot and monitoring difficult horses consistently.
